This 1961 Rolex advertisement features a duo of dive watch icons! The experimental Rolex that was strapped to the "Trieste" bathyscaph and submerged to a depth of 35,797 feet, and the Submariner 5512. This is the rarer version of this ad that is missing the Rolex anchor that normally is seen accompanying the Submariner image.
The ad is in good condition with a small tear in the border of the ad on the upper right hand side (could be matted over). This ad is currently offered loose, but can be framed for an additional fee.
